Purchasing a new sofa isn't a spur of the moment. Most people want a sofa that's comfy, the right size, right color, and believe it or not the right height. Even though IKEA has a lot of options when it comes to choosing or even designing a custom sofa, however when it comes down to shopping at IKEA, IKEA doesn't offer many, reality is they don't offer any solutions to choosing an alternative height. Most of the time I see customers struggle with purchasing a sofa from IKEA solely based on the height. Everything else can be absolutely perfect except the height. Nevertheless over the years working at IKEA I've learned about a few simple ways to increase the height of practically any sofa from IKEA. How? Simple. Most have simple screw on legs, REPLACE the legs. Once you open up to the endless possibilities of designs you can find online, increasing the height of your new or per-existing IKEA sofa seems minimal but overall can give you sofa a fresh new look. Also customers have told me plenty of times for sofas such as the Kivik they would just use bed risers or drill new holes for the legs....
